Man found dead in New York’s Central Park, exactly where body was found last year

A MAN has been eerily found dead in the water in New York City, exactly where a body was found floating last year.

The body of a man, believed to be in his 40s, was spotted at Harlem Meer in Central Park on Saturday night by a passer-by.

She frantically dialed 911 shortly before 7 p.m. to report the grim discovery.

The cops pulled the man out of the lake and brought him to the shore, where he was pronounced dead at around 7.15pm.

The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

It is not known how long the man has been in the water.

A body was only found in the same spot last year, which was discovered when a local resident accidentally hung the corpse while fishing.

On September 24, Luis Castoire threw his line into the lake – in the northeastern part of the park – when he realized there was a body in the water, reports the Mail.

“I was fishing in the Harlem Meer and my second throw I’m hooking something [and] then lifted the line, ”he told the outlet.

“I saw the body in the water so I’m calling 911.”

NYPD agents arrived and removed the body of a man in his 30s from the water.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
