A man in Jinan, Shandong, China, recently went to the hospital for surgery due to physical factors. Unexpectedly, when the man was lying in the operating room, ready for surgery after anesthesia, the doctor in charge of the operation forgot about this and placed the man on the operating table. After the whole incident broke out, although the hospital made an internal report, the man was still dissatisfied with the hospital’s handling of the incident, and is currently waiting for the local health committee to intervene in the investigation.
According to “Sina News”, the entire incident occurred on the 13th. A man in Jinan, Shandong Province went to Jinan Third People’s Hospital for cyst removal surgery due to physical factors. When the man lay on the operating bed, after local anesthesia was applied, he quietly waited for the doctor to perform the operation on him.
Unexpectedly, after the anesthesia had completely worn off, the man realized that the surgeon had forgotten him and returned home from get off work. The dissatisfied man complained to the hospital about the incident, and the hospital also criticized the doctor privately. However, the man was still dissatisfied with the hospital’s handling of the incident and asked the hospital to publicly report the incident and the doctor to apologize in writing.
Due to a lack of coordination between the man and the hospital, the entire incident is currently pending investigation by the local health committee. The report mentioned that the reporter asked the staff of the relevant departments of the hospital, and the staff said they were “not sure about this matter.” Apparently, the hospital did not accept the man’s request to publicly report and criticize the doctor who performed the surgery.
