A man dies after receiving a gunshot wound in Bushwick.
Police say they received the emergency call around 4 a.m. Saturday at 1525 Myrtle Ave.
Upon arrival, officers found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim, identified as Javier Sánchez, is a resident of the area where the shooting occurred.
The man was transported to Elmhurst Hospital and it was there that he was later certified dead.
So far, there are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
