A tourist who was enjoying a well-deserved vacation in Mexico fell from a paraglider and the video is viral on social networks.
As is known, the incident occurred last month on Las Gaviotas beach in Mazatlan, Mexico, and the man, despite falling from several meters high, did not die after the impact.
He was left alive, but had to be rushed to the hospital. According to local media, the crash left him hospitalized with several fractures. The man, Jose Ángel Iga, is allegedly a resident of Durango.
According to the images, which were allegedly recorded by a member of his family, it is seen how the man begins to be helped by three people to “get on” the paraglider, while the people hold the rope that supports the paraglider “on the ground”.
After releasing the rope that holds the glider to the ground, the man can be seen quickly rising into the air. Just when he reached almost 5 meters high, the harness that held him broke, and the man ends up falling into the void.
Authorities are believed to be investigating the incident, the newspaper says. The Sunand the most likely cause must be that the equipment, due to use, water and saltpeter, already suffered some damage that caused it to break due to the weight of man.
And although the event is “old”, the video is recent, and is going “around” on social networks. It is not the only video of this type that circulates. On the web we can find several videos shot from the air that ended badly.
Last October, terrifying footage captured the moment two paragliders collided mid-air before plunging into the sea. The incident occurred during an Olympic-style air games festival in Oludeiz, Turkey.
In September, 54-year-old Dan Burton died after colliding with another glider during a record breaking challenge around the UK. Mr. Burton collided with another paraglider, who was seriously injured in the crash.
