A man escaped from a prisoner transport on Wednesday evening. That happened near Vught, the police reported. There he took off.
The man was transported in a bus of the Transport & Support (DV&O) service of the Custodial Institutions Agency, especially for the transport of detainees and detainees.
Several police cars and the police helicopter were used to search the place where the man was last seen, near the Groensteeg in Vught near the A2. Among other things, the Bleijendijk estate was searched at the ruins of an old farm. A forest ranger who knows the area well helped the police with this.
The man has not yet been found and the police are scaling down the search. “It’s a needle in a haystack,” said a spokesman.
It would not be about a man who is detained in the PI Vught, but about someone who was transported between two other prisons. It is still unclear why a stop was made near Vught.
