TEXAS – A heavy police presence ended Tuesday night in a Dallas community when a man allegedly wanted for capital murder fled authorities.
The Dallas Police Department indicated that around 5 p.m. the US Marshals team was guarding the 9000 block of High Plain Lane in Euless when the Hispanic man was alerted to the presence of officers and began to flee on foot.
The man then ducked into a wooded area between W Wheatland Road and Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas.
The operation escalated with the help of the Dallas police, the Grand Prairie police and the helicopter of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Around 8:30 p.m. the suspect was found and safely arrested near Eagle Ford Drive.
According to the Euless Police Department, the man in custody is allegedly related to a brutal case where a young man was forced to tattoo his girlfriend’s name before being murdered.
Previously, investigators reported that five people, including the girlfriend, were involved in the strange crime and that four of them were arrested, for which the fifth person would be this man who has not yet been identified.
No one was injured during the operation but officials indicate that the suspect is being evaluated by medical personnel.
