Man Ends With Facial Wounds After Violent Brooklyn Robbery – NBC New York

A 44-year-old man was the victim of a violent robbery where the suspect punched him repeatedly on a Brooklyn sidewalk, New York City Police said.

The incident occurred on Sunday May 22, around 1:00 am, in front of a building in Bay Ridge Avenue y 13 Avenue. The victim was sitting on a step of the building with his cell phone when the alleged robber approached and without prior provocation pushed the man to the ground and proceeded to punch and kick him in the body, police said.

The suspect forcibly removed the victim’s cell phone and wallet containing $6,000 before fleeing west for Bay Ridge Avenue.

The victim ended up with bruises and lacerations to her face, paramedics arrived at the scene, but the victim refused medical attention.

The suspect is described by authorities as a bearded man with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white surgical mask, a black long-sleeved t-shirt with graphics on the front and back, with black jeans and black sneakers.
