Man drives drunk and intoxicated: “I admit everything”

After 19 years of marriage, a woman separates from her husband. The Lüdenscheider (34) can’t take that well. With a blood alcohol level of 1.36 and cannabis in his blood, he takes a friend’s car even though he doesn’t have a driver’s license. His son is in the vehicle. On the B229 in Lüdenscheid, a man waits with his car at a red light not far from the Edekamarkt. The 34-year-old stands near the man. When starting off, the Lüdenscheider accelerates too much due to the substances in the body.

The rear of his vehicle swerves, he veers off his path and scrapes along the other person’s car. Its entire page is damaged. Damage: 12,268.02 euros. The 34-year-old’s car was not badly damaged. The Lüdenscheider doesn’t stop, just keeps driving. Despite being hit, the other man was able to give chase in his broken car and call the police. The escapee finally stops voluntarily and waits for the officers. Driving without a license in conjunction with escaping an accident and driving while intoxicated brought the 34-year-old to the dock of the Lüdenscheid district court.

“I was angry”

“I admit all of this. I was angry because my wife separated. “I wanted to give her new guy a piece of my mind,” he says briefly with a confession. He was glad that no one was injured. The judge wants to know why he took his son with him. The defendant explains that he was just with his girlfriend. With 14 previous convictions, he is not an unknown quantity. The 34-year-old has come to attention for, among other things, housebreaking, false suspicion, sexual harassment and bodily harm, but also for driving without a license. He spent more than a year in prison.

For the current allegations, the judge sentenced the unemployed Lüdenscheider to a fine of 2,250 euros (150 daily rates of 15 euros) and imposed a driving license ban for one and a half years. The defendant accepts the verdict immediately.
