Man drives around Spain with corpse in passenger seat | Abroad

The 66-year-old man initially drove north, but turned the car onto the highway as he approached a police check just across the border with France. He ignored stop signs from the pursuing police. After more than 30 kilometers, the man left the highway near Girona. The car came to a stop shortly afterwards in an accident.

When officers inspected the car, they saw the lifeless body of an elderly man in the passenger seat. According to Spanish media, it is probably the 88-year-old Swiss partner of the driver, who died three weeks ago under as yet unclear circumstances. Police have launched an investigation.
