A man was killed in a one-sided car accident on the N357 near Holwerd on Thursday evening. The car got off the road and ended up in the ditch upside down.
A second occupant, also a man, was rushed to hospital. How he is doing is unknown. Among other things, a trauma helicopter was called up for the accident. Emergency services have temporarily closed the N357.
Nothing is yet known about the cause of the accident.
