Man died after receiving street beating during robbery in New York; the police have not been able to identify him

A 51-year-old man died a week after he was found beaten and unconscious on a Bronx street. the New York police said Wednesday.

NYPD responded around 6:15 a.m. June 25 to a call of an apparent robbery in progress on West 230th Street near Heath Avenue, in the vecindario Kingsbridge Heights. Upon arrival, officers found the unidentified man lying on the ground, unconscious, with a head trauma.

He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on July 2. The exact cause of his death is being investigated by the city medical examiner’s office.

The victim She had no identification when she was found. It’s unclear what was stolen, if anything, because he was unable to speak while hospitalized.

Three men are wanted for questioning in connection with this case. Images released this week by NYPD show the unidentified suspects leaving a maroon Kia Optima car, with New Jersey license plate #D19-NWB, and walking to the area where the victim was standing.

A short time later, the same men got back into the car and drove away. The vehicle was last seen on West 207th Street in Manhattan earlier that day, police said, quoted by New York Post.

In a similar case, at the end of May Víctor Vega, a 61-year-old man, died five days after falling after receiving a violent punch while walking on a Brooklyn street near his home. NYPD video captured two suspects in the dramatic attack.
