Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Wing striker Manchester City, Ferran Torres, not so sure can handle Chelsea in the final Champions League no luck factor.
Torres, who is just undergoing his first season with Man City, thinks that the match against Chelsea in the top match of European football is not an easy thing so he needs good luck to achieve the desired results.
“When you play in the Champions League you meet the best teams in Europe. You also need luck in certain moments,” said Torres.
“I think this team has made progress in terms of experience in this competition. We didn’t start well, but as time went on, we grew as a team.”
Torres is one of the players with the most goals in the Champions League. The 21-year-old has scored four goals in six appearances, or has the same number of goals as Riyad Mahrez.
There are no outstanding goalscorers at Man City. After Torres and Mahrez there was Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne, and Phil Foden who scored three goals. While Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero scored two goals and three other players scored one goal.
“It’s true we didn’t have a top scorer this season, but we have a lot of players who can score goals and that is the strength of this team,” Torres said.
“To win in the Champions League, all the players in your team must unite because everyone will have an important role,” he continued.
Torres has a chance to appear as a starting player in the Champions League final, but must compete with Jesus, Sterling, Foden, Bernardo Silva and Mahrez.
