Manchester City entertain Nottingham Forest in the continuation of the English League. The Citizens led 2-0 in the first half.
Man City vs Nottingham takes place at the Etihad Stadium, Saturday (23/9/2023) evening WIB. The hosts took control of the game from the first minute.
Phil Foden gave Man City a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute. The goal started from Rodri’s cross to Kyle Walker, which was immediately continued with a pass on the right to Foden.
As before, Man City did not relax their game even though they were in a superior position. Pep Guardiola’s troops continue to lock up their opponents.
Erling Haaland then increased Man City’s lead to 2-0 in the 14th minute. The striker from Norway headed the ball after welcoming Matheus Nunes’ cross.
Julian Alvarez fired a shot from outside the penalty box in the 25th minute. Even though it was aimed at the goal, the ball was anticipated by goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Nottingham Forest still had difficulty pressing Man City during the half hour of the match. The visiting team is mostly forced to stay in their own territory.
There were no additional goals in the remaining time of the first half. Man City led 2-0 over Nottingham until halftime.
