Manchester City faced with Arsenal in the Premier League. The Citizens were in a 2-0 lead in the first half.
Man City vs Arsenal took place at the Etihad Stadium, Thursday (27/4/2023) in the morning WIB. The home side were already threatening the visitors in the third minute when Aaron Rasdale handled the low cross badly.
The Citizens led 1-0 in the seventh minute. Kevin De Bruyne beat Ramsdale with a shot from outside the penalty box that started from a fast attack.
Arsenal still can not do anything until the game has been running for 20 minutes. Mikel Arteta’s men were unable to even enter the Man City penalty box despite being dominant in possession.
Arsenal’s goal was threatened again in the 22nd minute. Bernardo Silva managed to fire a shot after penetrating into the penalty box, but the ball he hit was weak so Ramsdale caught him.
De Bruyne almost doubled the score for Man City. He managed to escape from an offside position and entered the Arsenal penalty box and fired a shot, but the ball was blocked by Rob Holding.
It was Erling Haaland’s turn to easily penetrate the Arsenal defender. After tricking two defenders, Haaland fired in a shot from close range, but Ramsdale was able to keep the ball away.
Ramsdale made a great save in the 40th minute. He was able to block Haaland’s shot which took advantage of a drag bait.
John Stone successfully increased Man City’s lead to 2-0 in injury time with a header. The goal was disallowed because it was deemed to smell offside, but the goal was finally confirmed after being reviewed via VAR. The score lasted until halftime.
