Guardiola has been at the helm of Man City since 2016. Despite the great success in national competitions, Guardiola’s City has not yet conquered Europe.
City’s best Champions League result so far is reaching the final round in 2021. However, the Citizens have had to settle for being second after losing to Chelsea.

Guardiola was then asked why it was so difficult for City to win the Champions League. That’s what he said.
“Because Madrid is always there,” said Guardiola who then laughed, as reported by Viaplay.
Real Madrid are so powerful in the Champions League. The whites champion five times in the last decade.
Real Madrid also knocked out Man City in the Champions League last season. Carlo Ancelotti’s men made a remarkable comeback in the semifinals by eliminating City 6-5 overall.
