Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has denounced rumors of Brazilian Neymar’s upcoming signing as “not true”.
The French newspaper “Le Parisien” had previously reported that Man City was interested in the midfield star from Paris Saint-Germain. “I’m sorry for Le Parisien, but that’s not true. Your information that there are connections is wrong, »said Guardiola in Houston, where the team is part of a US summer tour.
Neymar is “an incredible player,” said Guardiola, “and according to my information he is an incredibly nice guy. But that (rumour) is not correct.” Alluding to the fact that Manchester City is associated with numerous players before each season, Guardiola sarcastically added: “Every summer it is said that Manchester City will buy 150 players.”
