City then won ‘only’ one title in the 2021/2022 season, namely the Premier League champion. Pep Guardiola’s men failed in the Champions League after being eliminated in the semifinals by Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Real have won three trophies in 2021/2022, including LaLiga and the Champions League. Ancelotti, Karim Benzema and Thibaut Courtois also received individual awards.
Ancelotti was then questioned about the prize won by the City. The Italian coach admitted that he did not know the criteria for this award.
“I don’t know the criteria for these awards,” said Ancelotti Brand.
“I don’t think they don’t talk about the team, because Real Madrid are the best team, who won the Champions League, but who makes the best club I don’t know.”
