Will Manchester City have to deal with a new legal case, after that of Benjamin Mendy, still under contract with the English club until June 2023?

While the Frenchman was found not guilty, the court case polluted the Manchester City environment for many weeks. And this could be the case again with another file, it says less heavy than that carried out against Benjamin Mendy (28 years old).

English justice has indeed opened this Thursday an investigation for sexual assault concerning another defender of the Cityzens.

Walker accused

According to The Telegraphthe Chesshire police have opened an investigation after the revelations of the Sun. In recent days, the British media has shared a video where we see Kyle Walker, drunk. The 32-year-old Englishman, accompanied by friends, lowered his pants before rubbing shoulders with a woman, touching her chest, in a bar. Inappropriate and disruptive behavior for justice, but which however did not lead to “no arrests” for now, according to the police.

Manchester City’s reaction

The English club, made aware of the actions of its side, decided not to react. Indeed, says The Sun, Manchester City will not sanction Kyle Walker for his behavior at this time. The club say it’s a private matter, so it doesn’t concern them.

Under contract until June 2024, Kyle Walker has played 21 games this season with Manchester City. In slight loss of speed, the 32-year-old Englishman missed several meetings due to injury (groin).

In recent weeks, PSG full-back Achraf Hakimi has also been accused of sexual assault, more specifically rape. This did not prevent the Moroccan from playing the last matches of the capital club. Kyle Walker could be in the same situation, as the Cityzens face Crystal Palace on Saturday (6:30 p.m.).
