The attack probably occurred in the early Monday afternoon in the U6 station at Vienna’s Westbahnhof. A man was lying on the platform with a huge head wound. When rescue workers tried to take care of the injured, he showed little gratitude and resisted. This spread his blood even further on the subway platform. The Wiener Linien security officers called the police for help.
As it turned out in the course of the survey, the man is said to have been so badly injured on the head by a stranger by a targeted blow with a beer bottle. The injured man was eventually taken to hospital for further treatment. Now the police are looking for the attacker. The investigation is ongoing.
