Man Attacks Girlfriend on Brooklyn Subway Train: Police Launch Investigation

NEW YORK.- A man attacked his girlfriend aboard a subway train in Brooklyn in the early hours of this Tuesday, according to police authorities.

According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), the man attacked the 24-year-old woman by cutting her hand while they were on the No. 3 train at the Pennsylvania Avenue station shortly before 1 a.m. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.

The attacker, who is the victim’s boyfriend, fled the scene and is currently a fugitive, according to the police.

The NYPD asked the public to provide any relevant information regarding this incident by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), visiting the website crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, downloading the NYPD Crime Stoppers mobile app or sending a text message CRIMES to the number 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering the code TIP577. A reporting line is also open in Spanish at 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

This incident is causing great concern in the community and authorities are actively working to locate the attacker and ensure the safety of the victim.
