– We were told that it was a young person on the subway who was acting out and that it was uncomfortable for people on the spot. When the police arrived, they went down to the platform where they find the person with a large knife in hand, says operations manager Lina Odden in the Oslo police district to TV 2 at 19.55 on Saturday night.
The police threatened the man with the use of pepper spray, but gained control of him in another way.
– The police were unarmed, so it was a rough experience for the patrol on the spot, says the operations manager.
The man, who has not yet been identified by the police, has been arrested and taken to the central detention center.
– This could have been a scary incident if the patrol had not gained control of the man, but this time it went well, says Odden.
The police received the first report at 18.28 on Saturday. No one was injured in the incident.
