A man in the United States was arrested for illegally storing more than 200 firearms at his home.
The California Department of Justice issued a press release on the 15th (local time) and announced that it had arrested a man living in Richmond on charges of illegal weapon possession. Mr. A is accused of storing 248 firearms and 1 million rounds of ammunition in his home without reporting them. Specifically, they include 11 military machine guns, 133 pistols, 37 rifles, 60 assault rifles, 7 shotguns, and 3,000 high-capacity magazines. Currently, all weapons found in Mr. A’s home have been confiscated.
Twenty silencers and four flares were also found in Mr. A’s house. Several grenades were also found, but an investigation by the bomb disposal team revealed that the grenades were in a deactivated state and there was no risk of explosion.
California is one of the states in the United States that strictly enforces gun control laws, and it is illegal to possess a machine gun without a permit. It was even found that Mr. A was not allowed to possess a firearm.
