The man allegedly tried to set fire to several exterior doors. There is a black scorch mark on the door of the Council of State, among other things. Bottles with burning liquid were found in other places. It did not lead to major fires.
The incident happened around 9 a.m. The Binnenhof has been closed since then. The reason for the man’s action is not yet known. He was undressed because of the possible presence of flammable liquid on his clothing and then checked by paramedics.
