“Man Arrested in Double Shooting at University in Colorado Springs”

In a shocking turn of events, a 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a double shooting that occurred at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs campus. The suspect, Nicholas Jordan, was apprehended by the Colorado Springs Police Department on Monday morning.

The authorities have stated that the suspect and the victims were known to each other, ruling out the possibility of a random attack on the school or other students. The victims have been identified as Samuel Knopp, a registered UCCS student from Parker, and Celie Rain Montgomery, hailing from Pueblo.

The arrest warrant for Nicholas Jordan was issued late on Friday, charging him with two counts of first-degree murder. After a thorough investigation, the police located him near the 4900 block of Cliff Point Circle East and arrested him during a routine traffic stop. He was subsequently taken to the El Paso County Jail.

The University of Colorado – Colorado Springs campus is situated along Austin Bluffs Parkway in northeast Colorado Springs. It is one of four universities within the University of Colorado system, alongside campuses in Boulder, Denver, and Aurora (the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus).
