Charlotte, NC.- UA man was arrested by officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) after he attempted to sexually assault a woman in the bathroom of a tire shop.
CMPD said they were called to a tire shop located on Monroe Road near Briar Creek Road on Monday, July 29 around 3:30 p.m.

Authorities said a woman called police saying a man, whom she did not know, entered the bathroom while she was inside and tried to sexually assault her.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Elno Cervantes Juarez, 30, who was in the U.S. illegally.
Cervantes Juarez was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree rape, sexual assault, first-degree kidnapping and assault on a female. He is being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail without bail.
ICE
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials said U.S. Border Patrol encountered Cervantes Juarez, a Mexican national, on Aug. 17, 2022, near Nogales, Arizona, after he entered the country illegally.
The ICE Office in Atlanta, Georgia, filed a detainer against Cervantes Juarez after he was arrested by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police.
