Berlin (dpa / bb) – A 29-year-old man is said to have snatched jewelry from a senior citizen in Berlin-Wilhelmstadt on Friday morning. The woman was walking with her walker when the man ripped away a gold necklace and ring, police said on Saturday. A 41-year-old witness then followed the fleeing man and called for help, it said. According to the police, an off-duty police officer noticed the incident and finally arrested the suspect. The 29-year-old is due to appear before a magistrate on Saturday.
