Early on Saturday morning (September 2nd, 2023), around 5:30 a.m., a group of three young adults was on the banks of the Rhine when a 38-year-old man joined them. The man suddenly sought physical proximity to the young woman in the group. Among other things, he hugged her, even though she had previously explained to him several times that he should not do this. When the police arrived, the 38-year-old immediately behaved provocatively, uncooperatively and aggressively. He also continually insulted them. Since a clear smell of breath alcohol was detected during the police report, a blood sample was taken at the police station after consultation with the public prosecutor’s office. The 38-year-old was then taken into police custody. He now has to answer for sexual harassment and insult.
