UCLA Scholar Sexually Assaulted in Dorm Room: Suspect Arrested by Campus Police

Arrest made in sexual assault incident at UCLA residential facility

WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A person was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a feminine UCLA scholar in her dorm room on campus, authorities mentioned.

Jeffery Brewer, 41, was arrested late Friday evening.

In response to an announcement from the UCLA Police Division, he entered the room at Saxon Residential Suites within the 300 block of De Neve Drive at about 2:40 a.m. Friday, the place he allegedly sexually assaulted the girl whereas she was in mattress.

Brewer then left the room in an unknown route. The girl was “medically handled on scene,” based on the assertion.

“Detectives rapidly developed leads, and after a day-long search, cops situated and apprehended the suspect at round 9:45 p.m.,” learn the assertion. “The sufferer and two witnesses positively recognized the suspect.”

Brewer was arrested for assault with intent to commit a felony, false imprisonment, housebreaking, and forcible sexual penetration, campus police mentioned.
