Almost two weeks after actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd (70) was shot, a man has been arrested. He has been detained since Friday and is being charged with murder, TMZ reports.
Byrd was shot in the back several times in Atlanta on October 3. It is still unclear what the reason for this was.
In his career, the actor often worked with director Spike Lee. He has appeared in Clockers, Get On The Bus, Chi-raq, Red Hook Summer, Bamboozled and He Got Game, among others. He also played Stokely in the television version of Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It which appeared on Netflix in 2017.
