A 34-year-old man was arrested this Sunday morning by members of the Raid and Public Security, near Grenoble. The individual, known to the police, is suspected of having kidnapped his former girlfriend, after violently attacking her new companion with a hammer.
He was placed in police custody “after his sobering up because he was heavily alcoholic”, indicates the Grenoble prosecutor’s office, confirming information from the Dauphine Libere. “The two victims are injured but out of danger”, underlines Eric Vaillant, the public prosecutor.
The facts took place in the night from Saturday to Sunday, in front of the home of the young woman. The suspect then forced him to get into his car before kidnapping her.
