Man arrested for kidnapping a minor boy in Musselkanaal

At around 2:30 this afternoon, the police received a report of the missing child, after which an intensive search was started. Among other things, a Citizen Network report was sent and a police helicopter was deployed.

The boy was found around a quarter past five. He was in front of a 25-year-old man who has been arrested. The police does not want to say anything about the age of the boy in connection with privacy. They do let it be known that he was in good health when they found him.

Suspect is being questioned

The 25-year-old, who has no permanent residence or residence, is suspected of withdrawing a minor from parental authority. He is in detention and is currently being questioned. Care is being organized for the boy and his family, the police say.
