Kochi > A young man has been arrested in the case of killing his mother by locking her in her house. Achamma Abrahami (69) living in Blue Clouds Apartment F One Flat near Maradu Thurutthi Temple was hacked to death by her son Vinod Abraham (50). The incident took place on Thursday at 5 pm. Only mother and son Vinod live in the flat. After hearing a commotion in the flat on Thursday afternoon, the neighbors, the police and the municipal councilor came and calmed down both of them and returned. Then at five in the evening, when the neighbors heard the commotion, they found Achamma murdered. Vinod, who was stationed in the room with a knife after killing his mother, was subdued by the police, fire force and locals using force. The police said that Vinod, a law graduate, was living a luxurious life without going to practice or doing any other work. Their sister abroad was helping them financially.
