Man Arrested for Assaulting Two Women with Wire-Cutting Tool near Times Square

Police arrest a man after he allegedly attacked two women with a wire-cutting tool near Times Square.

Kevin Quillupang faces charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Officers responded Tuesday night to the incident in front of the Row Hotel on Eighth Avenue that is currently used as a shelter for immigrant asylum seekers.

Quillupang allegedly slashed the first victim in the back and then his mother before he was taken into custody.

Additionally, authorities found a pliers-type tool on the ground.

Both women were taken to an area hospital where they received treatment for their injuries.
