Man Arrested After Woman Found Dead in Manhattan Bathroom – NBC New York

Authorities have arrested a man after a woman was found dead inside a Manhattan apartment on Sunday, New York City Police said.

The discovery occurred during the early hours, at around 4:23 am, after police responded to a 9-1-1 call about a dispute inside an apartment in 111 Chrystie Street.

Upon arrival, they found a suspect barricaded in and had to call the Emergency Services Unit staff to gain entry. The report says that upon entering the apartment they found the 35-year-old woman in the bathroom with body trauma and lifeless.

The suspect was arrested and no charges have been released so far. The identity of the victim was also not released.

The case remains under investigation.
