Man (43) arrested for burglary in Oudenbosch flat where balconies collapsed Inland

The complex was evacuated after the balconies collapsed. The burglars took the opportunity and managed to get into the flats despite security. Presumably, the thieves used a ladder that was there for the repair work.

The thieves couldn’t take much stuff. A camera was stolen from one resident. And in another apartment nothing was removed because an alarm went off.

Police identified the man through CCTV footage. He is now in custody for questioning.

Mayor Bernd Roks was shocked. “Making use of such a miserable situation in such a cowardly way is really the lowest of the low,” he told BN De Stem.

The 45 residents of the apartment complex were able to return to their homes on Saturday.
