Man (31) who stabbed ex-girlfriend Clarinda to death worked as a children’s coach and teacher | Inland

The 31-year-old Jeffrey van den D. from Nieuwegein, who stabbed his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend Clarinda from Utrecht to death in Den Bosch last Wednesday, worked as a children’s coach and teacher. The victim worked for the Child Protection Board.

On the morning of the stabbing, the victim was with her 1-year-old daughter visiting her parents who live near the Ploossche Hof. The suspect arrested is the girl’s father. The Brabants Dagblad previously reported that the victim reported being mistreated by Van den D. Police and the Public Prosecution Service confirmed that there were relationship problems between the two.

Homework supervisor

For his own practice in Utrecht, he worked as a children’s coach and homework tutor. He worked as a teacher at a primary school. “Out of love for education and love for children, I decided to set up this practice with the aim of supporting and helping children in their development,” said Jeffrey van den D. on his website. He reports that he is studying to become a school leader.

Asked for an explanation, his lawyer says he will not make any further announcements because of privacy.

On Friday, the examining magistrate decided that the suspect’s pre-trial detention should be extended by 14 days.
