A 23-year-old man has been sentenced by the court to a prison sentence of twenty months, of which six months probation, for extortion and attempts to do so. He threatened to publish nude photos of young women online if they didn’t pay him.

He also has to pay his victims compensation of 23,000 euros. In addition, he must be treated.
The man pretended to be a woman in front of his victims and called himself ‘Iris’. His victims believed they could engage in sexting in good faith, but were deceived. After receiving the nude photos, he put such pressure on his victims that they transferred money or credit cards to him. Not everyone paid him.
The victims were young: one of them was only 14 years old. The fact that the 23-year-old man has already been convicted before for preparing for extortion is taken into account in the sentence.
