Delegates who protested that they did not get seats for the film Nanpakal Nereth Mayakkum at the International Film Festival despite having booked them in advance were forcibly removed by the police. Protesters claimed that the film academy had given seats to those who wanted them illegally. There are widespread complaints about the reservation system. The dispute for not getting a seat has reached the limit of ‘Tallumala’.
Those who could not enter the theater didn’t bother to leave even though the movie ‘Nankakal Nereth Mayakkum’ started. They also later protested outside the festival office on Tagore’s premises. One of the most anticipated films at the expo was Nankapal Neret Mayakam. There was a long queue for the film at the Tagore Theater since morning. The flaw in the booking system was evident right from the start of the fair.
