Zacatecas, Zac.- As part of the actions aimed at the recovery of services diminished by the health emergency caused by Covid-19, the Zacatecas Representation Office of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), carries out intensive actions for the detection of cancer of Mommy.
For this reason, it is being offered to the beneficiaries from the age of 40, who come to have their physical examination of the breast and the performance of mammography; those women who have never had it or who already turned two years after their last study can attend.
In the Family Medicine Units (UMF) No. 4 in Guadalupe and No. 55 in Fresnillo, the service is offered from 08:00 to 14:00 hours, where they can also perform their glucose, arterial hypertension and Pap smear.
Likewise, at the Hospital General de Zona (HGZ) No. 1, the service is available from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
These actions aim to reactivate preventive care services so that all beneficiaries update their annual screening schedules, which allow them to identify and attend in a timely manner any situation that puts health at risk, particularly conditions such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, diabetes. and hypertension.
Those women who, during the self-examination, have detected any discomfort or abnormality in the physical aspect of the chest, who have identified a lump or discharge; or who have a history of direct relatives who have had breast cancer, it is very important that they attend so that a complete protocol is carried out.
The interested parties must appear neat, and avoid the use of deodorant or talcum powder, respecting hygiene protocols, correct and mandatory use of face masks, covering nose and mouth, application of 70 percent alcohol gel and healthy distance of 1.5 meters.
