It will be one of the most important, and maybe the most important and the greatest fight in the history of the federation KSW. Organization legend and middleweight champion – Mamed Khalidov – will face a welterweight champion and one of the most effective fighting players – Roberto Soldiciem. The fight was confirmed by KSW on Monday.

It is not yet known when exactly the duel will take place. The date will be announced during the next KSW 64 gala, which will take place on October 23. This is when the competitors will meet face to face in the octagon for the first time. The official confirmation of the fight was just a formality. It was clear that it would happen at the previous KSW gala.
After Soldić smashed Patrik Kincl, he jumped over the octagon and ran to the gala Khalidov, asking for a fight. – Roberto does not have to ask for a fight, because he is a champion – Khalidov said.

– I don’t know if this will be my biggest fight in KSW. I have had a lot of the most important fights, but personally this is the most important one for me because I wanted to finish my career keeping the level and fight with the best. At 41, I can fight a player fifteen years younger who is a champion. For me it is very important – this is how Khalidov commented on the fight with Soldic in an interview with Polsatem Sport.
And he added: – The announcement of the fight also depended on whether I would be ready to fight. I already know that I am ready and the talks are over. Soldić wants to fight in my weight. I wouldn’t like to make 77 kilos because it’s too big of a difference.
– I think it will be the most expensive fight in Polish history MMA. I really hope that it will be the highest-grossing for us. But we set this bar for ourselves, because there were already fights in our history, thanks to which we broke many records – admitted Martin Lewandowski, the owner of KSW, in an interview with WP SportoweFakty.
Khalidov last performed at the KSW 55 gala, which was held in October last year. It was then that Khalidov in an incredibly effective style knocked out Scott Askham in the 36th second of the fight. Thus, Khalidov repaid the Englishman for his defeat in December 2019 and regained the championship belt in middleweight.
