Mama June: – Spent 8.4 million on drugs

The reality series “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” took the world by storm in 2012, after the series’ main character, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson (15) had had great success in the miss program “Toddlers & Tiaras”.

In 2014, however, it said stop, and it has since gone downhill for several of the series’ members. Especially the matriarch, June Shannon (41), has been through some tough years.

She goes by the nickname “Mama June”, but the role as a mother has in recent years been overshadowed by something completely different. In March 2019, she was arrested for drug possession, which made headlines worldwide.

In the last year, she has opened up about the wild and serious drug abuse, and now she admits how much it actually cost her.

– So much money

She does this in an interview with Access Hollywood this week, where Mama June can reveal that she and her boyfriend Eugene Edward Doak spent almost one million dollars, 8.4 million Norwegian kroner, on drugs when it was at its worst.

– The last year of our addiction, I would guess we spent a good 900,000 dollars. So much money was sent to our doplanger, she says openly.

The 41-year-old further says that at one point she sent as much as 80,000 dollars to the langeren in one day. This corresponds to a whopping 675,000 Norwegian kroner. She also admits that at one point she waited for 125,000 to be transferred from her account to rush one last time, but that the transfer was too slow.

Then she decided to check in at a rehabilitation clinic.

– I checked in for rehab with 14 kroner in my name, and I came out with nothing.

Located in the family

The reality star, who has now been drug-free for 14 months, also reveals that she has had to reinvent old arts to make money, as a result of her series “Mama June: Road to Redemption” being suspended pandemic.

– It’s much easier for me to say “Hi, I do not want to feel that way”. I will not go back to that. I do not want an overdrawn bank account, she says, and continues:

– I’ve been around drugs all my life. Addiction lies in the family.

As mentioned, the 41-year-old’s wild drug abuse only became known in March 2019, when she was arrested for possession of crack and drug equipment. In the series “Mama June: Family Crisis”, the reality star admitted last year that she and her boyfriend spent around 25,000 on methamphetamine daily.

– Got high because I wanted to

Methamphetamine is illegal in large parts of the world and can be very harmful. according to Norwegian Health Informatics worldwide abuse is gradually rising. – The only reason I sold the house was because I was completely straight found. At that time, I took a good deal, as you know. There were a few ounces (British and American units of measure, jour.anm.) Every day. The addiction cost us around $ 2,500 a day, if not more, she told her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon (21).

Slightly incoherent, she went on to talk about the heavy abuse.

– It was not something that came out of nowhere, and that I just “oh my god, now I start with drugs”. You found out I was arrested… I got high because I wanted to. It was by no means the first time I messed with fabric.
