The new advice will take effect from Monday 14 June. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has just announced this. The infection rates in these countries are favorable enough to relax travel advice. Malta is the third country to be put on ‘green’. The Caribbean islands of Saba and St. Eustatius were already on code green.
No quarantine
Dutch nationals who travel to Malta still have to meet a number of conditions. Travelers of 5 years and older must be able to show a negative PCR test on departure from the Netherlands, which is not older than 72 hours on arrival in Malta. When returning to the Netherlands, travelers from Malta do not have to show a negative NAAT (PCR) test and are also not obliged to go into (home) quarantine.
