There were 368, out of 390 registered, candidates from the provinces of Varese and Como who today took the admission test to specialization schools in the medical area organized for the first time by the University of Insubria, on the recommendation of the Ministry of University and Research. As for the medical and dentistry test, the chosen venue was Malpensa Fiere, in Busto Arsizio, where the university’s technical-administrative and IT staff guaranteed the regular performance of all operations in compliance with Covid regulations. Also present on this occasion the rector Angelo Tagliabue, the general director Marco Cavallotti and the president of the School of Medicine Giulio Carcano.

The 368 doctors had to answer 140 questions in 210 minutes which dealt with the topics of the master’s degree course in Medicine and Surgery and the scientific disciplinary sectors of the 50 specialized schools in the competition. As per the announcement, questions that required the evaluation of clinical, diagnostic, analytical, therapeutic and epidemiological data prevailed in the context of predefined mono and / or interdisciplinary scenarios. The final score is made up of 7 points for the qualifications and 140 for the test (one point for each correct answer, -0.25 points for each wrong answer, 0 points for each answer not given). To carry out the procedure, the university has made available to each candidate a computer not connected to the internet and equipped with the software provided by Cineca.

From the publication of the national rankingand on www.universitaly.it, set for 5 October and until 12 noon on Friday 9 October, it will be possible to choose the type and location of the School. The actual assignment will be announced on Monday 12 October in the same way.

They are well 163 specialization contracts assigned by Miur to Insubria, compared to 84 last year, to which are added 9 regional scholarships. The School of Pediatrics is back after a year off, with 5 seats and is added for the first year Radiodiagnostica, with 5 seats. The scholarships for Emergency Medicine (+11) and those for the General surgery: from 7 to 22 seats, while Gynecology goes from 8 to 11 seats e Internal Medicine it goes from 10 to 17 places. To Anesthesia, it goes from 12 to 22 specialization contracts.
