Ukrainian Ruslan Malinovsky became the hero of the French “Classico” by scoring Marseille’s winning goal against PSG in the 1/8th final of the national Cup.
The protagonist of the first half was the defender of the Parisians Sergio Ramos. First, he fouled Guendouzi and the referee awarded a penalty. Alexis Sanchez outplayed Donnarumma from the point. And in stoppage time for the first half, an excellent header from a corner Ramos restored the balance in the account.
In the 57th minute, Sanchez’s shot was blocked by Marquinhos, but Malinovsky was the first on the rebound, who without hesitation powerfully shot into the top corner – 2:1.
Thus, the Ukrainian brought Marseille a long-awaited victory over PSG, the first in 12 years at the Velodrome and a ticket to the quarterfinals of the French Cup.
