Malaysian Netizens Issue Provocative Sentences After Indonesia U-23 National Team Withdraws from 2022 AFF U-23 Cup: Okezone Bola

TIMNAS Indonesia U-23 have to resign from 2022 AFF U-23 Cup due to the Covid-19 storm. This news has attracted the attention of many parties, especially Malaysian netizens.

One of the Malaysian netizens with the Instagram account @malayantiger.co issued a provocative sentence about the news of the withdrawal of the U-23 Indonesian National Team. In the caption on the photo of the U-23 Indonesian National Team he uploaded, @malayantiger.co wrote, “Weak, population of 270 million. The sick 14. Just change.”

The upload was automatically commented on by fans of the U-23 Indonesian National Team. They teased again by reminiscing about Malaysia’s 1-4 defeat to the Indonesian national team in the 2020 AFF Cup.

“Think of it as entertainment for you, so that the 4-1 tragedy or worse tragedy doesn’t repeat itself. Predict the score if Indonesia U-23 joins (5-0 for Indo),” wrote the account @ubed_ubaidillah28.

However, it turns out that there are also Malaysian netizens who sympathize with the U-23 Indonesian National Team. Malaysian netizens with the account @amarshafie considered the sentence @malayantiger.co inappropriate.

“It is not beautiful to use materials for epidemics or disasters. We must pray for good. Fight, fight too. But fellow Muslims, fellow human beings, need to be taken care of too, right?” write the account @amarshafie.

The absence of the U-23 Indonesian National Team is quite unfortunate. Because, Garuda Nusantara is the defending champion in this tournament.

Unfortunately, the situation is not in favor of the U-23 Indonesian National Team. A total of seven players were confirmed positive for Covid 19, namely Ronaldo Kwateh, Muhammad Ferrari, Braif Fatari, Taufik Hidayat, Irfan Jauhari, Ahmad Figo Ramadhani, and Cahya Supriyadi.

Apart from them, there are four other players, namely Alfeandra Dewangga, Genta Alparedo, Muhammad Kanu Helmiawan, and Marcelino Ferdinand, still waiting for the incubation period. Because, they are in the same room with players who are positive for Covid-19. Then, there was also one team official who tested positive for Covid-19.

The situation got worse because there were three other players who suffered injuries while defending their respective clubs. The three players are Gunansar Mandowen, Ramai Rumakiek, and Muhammad Iqbal. Even so, the U-23 Indonesian national team must undergo this ordeal with their heads held high.
