Malaysia Corona emergency, the number of COVID-19 patients in the country has reached 30,753 people as of Monday (3/5/2021). The occupancy rate of the intensive care unit (ICU) in most hospitals is almost full.
Quoted from Malay Mail, Malaysia reported 2,500 new cases of Corona on Monday (3/5/2021). This number is 918 less than yesterday’s cases, namely 3,418 cases.
Although the number of cases has decreased, the number of patients who died has actually increased compared to yesterday. It was reported that 18 COVID-19 patients died on Monday, while on Sunday only 12 people.

He said one of the hospitals, namely Sungai Buloh Hospital, received more than 20 referral cases to the ICU every day in the past week. As a result, this hospital almost ran out of beds.

Not only that, Noor Hisham also reported the condition of other hospitals whose ICU training rates were above 70 percent.
“Sungai Buloh Hospital, Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Ampang Hospital, Serdang Hospital, Selayang Hospital and Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital have over 70 percent capacity and some have even reached 100 percent,” explained Noor Hisham.
“With the ICU capacity of Universiti Malaya Medical Center, the ICU bed capacity is now more than 50 percent,” he added.
