Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Malaysia detect 30 new clusters Covid-19 in factories and workplaces. The number is the highest on record since Malaysia detected its first coronavirus case.

On Sunday (6/6), Malaysia’s Director General of Health Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the 30 clusters, 18 clusters came from workplaces, 10 factories, and two others from community clusters, according to The Star.

That brings the total number of active clusters in Malaysia to 713.

Corona cases in the neighboring country have not shown any signs of abating. To date, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia has reached 617 thousand with a death toll of 3,378. This figure increases after the daily cases on Sunday (6/6) were recorded at 6,241 cases, and the daily death rate was 87.

In the state, Selangor has the highest number of Covid-19 cases with 2,178 cases, followed by Sarawak with 600 cases and Johor with 565 cases.

To suppress the spread of the virus and reduce the death toll, Malaysian Health Minister Adham Baba will speed up vaccination of the population.

He reflected on the UK’s success in dealing with the pandemic by conducting a vaccination program.

“It is important for us to increase immunity and protection as much as possible so that the Covid-19 situation in the country does not get worse,” said Dr Adham after visiting the vaccination center at Persada Johor International Convention Center, Sunday (6/6) quoted from The New Paper.

Today, Monday (7/6) Malaysia is reported to open four mega vaccination centers in the Klang Valley. Among them are at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, Axiata Arena Bukit Kota Setia Convention Center and UiTM Puncak Alam, Selangor.

The only vaccination center in the Klang Valley is located at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center in Segambut, a suburb of Kuala Lumpur, which opened last week.

The 51,000 square meter facility has the capacity to vaccinate 2,000 people per day. But Malaysian authorities plan to increase the capacity to 6,000 people daily.
