KUALA LUMPUR, KOMPAS.com – Prime Minister Dato Seri Ismail Sabri has come under fire after being heard to say in Parliament that traders are not allowed to use subsidized oil packages in their cooking.
“The subsidized oil packages are not allowed for commercial cooking, so that’s wrong,” he said World of Buzz on Tuesday (19/7/2022).

Residents of the “Neighbor Country” have since expressed their anger at his remarks made by the Prime Minister in Parliament (18/7/2022).
Many criticized Sabri for making decisions that would only increase the pressure and burden on the people.
The Prime Minister, who heard complaints about his statement, finally clarified his statement in parliament.
He claimed that some people tried to distort his statement about the subsidized oil package.
But he again emphasized that the package subsidized cooking oil only for household use.

So, what is a hawker? Malaysia will be punished if caught using subsidized cooking oil packages for cooking?
“Of course we will not issue a summons if they use the subsidized oil package,” Sabri confirmed.
He later admitted that the distribution of subsidies that are right on target is not something that is easy to do, but it is things that must be considered by his side.
“However, the government will not remain silent. We will do our best to deal with this issue (targeted subsidies).”
