Najla was the captain of the Indian D cricket team for the Under-19 girls’ Challenger Trophy cricket. The Challenger Trophy was held by dividing the players into four teams as a part of preparing the Indian team for the U-19 Women’s World Cup. This was the first time that a Kerala player captained India in the Challenger Trophy in women’s cricket.

Najla proved her ability through all-round performance in the competition. It was this excellence, her excellent performance for Kerala and her brilliant performance at the National Cricket Academy camp in Mohali that brought the 18-year-old to the Indian team.
The U-16 North Zone team won under Najla. The Malappuram girl has also led the U-19 North Zone team. He was also the captain of the under-16 and 19 Kerala team. He has been training at the Wayanad Cricket Academy under KCA for the past five years.

Najla is a first year degree student. Although he is an all-rounder, he excels in bowling. The turning point in Najla’s life was when she participated in the Under-16 selection camp for the Malappuram district team held in Thiruvalli when she was in the sixth standard. Najla’s 4th standard studies were in Janata Bazar Shantinagar Salah LP School. Even at that time, the teachers recognized the excellence in the field of arts and sports.
