New Delhi: Kerala in the Assembly elections Congress Approximate understanding of candidate selection criteria. The decision was taken at a meeting of senior leaders from Kerala with the central leadership. The main criterion in deciding the candidates is that the two losers and the four winners will not be given seats. At the same time, some senior leaders, including Oommen Chandy, will be allowed to relax these norms.
It has also decided not to field any MPs in the Assembly elections. However, MPs can nominate two candidates in their respective Lok Sabha constituencies. Only candidates with good image and popular support will be considered as candidates. Losers in local elections will not be considered.
